The chalkboard texture is smooth enough to write on cleanly, and the "first day" and "last day" panels make comparing photos from September to June so easy. We've done this for two kids now, and the size is perfect for holding up in front of the porch. Just wish the chalk included was a bit thicker,
The photo spot comes out perfectly centered every time, and the chalk wipes off clean so we can reuse it for the last day without smudging. My kids actually fought over who got to hold it first this morning.
We’ve used these on both the first and last days for two years now, and the chalk wipes off clean every single time so they still look brand new. The photo spot is the perfect size for a quick shot before the bus comes, and I love that it’s double-sided—means I don’t have to buy separate ones.
